As many older structures do not include CAD structural plans, modeling the structure becomes extremely cumbersome and time-consuming. Additionally, FEM-based analysis programs do not simulate the separation of elements, a critical component in the demolition of a structure.
Extreme Loading introduces ELS–XCOLUMN, a first-of-its-kind tool to visually simulate the complete demolition of a structure. This application can ensure a safe and efficient collapse by determining the primary demolition technique and the implosion sequence required to produce the desired results.
