Impact Analysis
Using Extreme Loading® for Structures (ELS) software, structural engineers can perform analysis on structures that have been or may be impacted by objects such as vehicles. ELS is built around the Applied Element Method (AEM) of analysis, the only method that automatically calculates crack initiation, propagation and separation of elements.
Impact Analysis Features Include:
- Modeling and simulation of structural and non-structural component behavior due to impact.
- Debris and glass fragment velocity and dispersion can be assessed allowing Engineers to determine risk zones and stand-off distances.
Automated Separation
Separation and resulting debris due to extreme loads requires no user intervention.
